Before You Delete
We understand that Vely may not be the right fit for everyone. Before you proceed, here are some things to consider:

Alternatives to Deletion
- Take a break: You can disable your profile temporarily without losing your data
- Adjust settings: Update your preferences or notification settings
- Block users: If someone is bothering you, block them instead
- Cancel subscription: You can stop paying without deleting your account
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. You will not be able to recover your data, matches, or conversations after deletion.
Deletion Timeline
- Immediate: Your profile is hidden from other users
- Within 24 hours: Login access is revoked
- Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted
- Up to 90 days: Some data may be retained for legal/security purposes (anonymized)
Note: If you have an active subscription, it will NOT be automatically cancelled. Cancel your subscription through your app store before deleting your account to avoid future charges.
How to Delete Your Account
Method 1: Delete from the App
Launch the Vely app on your device
Tap on your profile icon in the bottom navigation
Tap the gear icon (⚙️) to open settings
Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
Enter your password and confirm to permanently delete your account
Method 2: Request by Email
If you're unable to access the app or prefer to request deletion via email:
- Send an email to vely.adm1@gmail.com
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include in the email body:
- Your registered email address
- Your profile name/nickname
- Confirmation that you want to delete your account
- We will verify your identity and process the request within 7 business days
Cancel Your Subscription
Important: Deleting your account does NOT cancel your subscription. You must cancel separately:
Android (Google Play)
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile icon
- Go to "Payments & subscriptions" → "Subscriptions"
- Find Vely and tap "Cancel subscription"
iOS (App Store)
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top
- Go to "Subscriptions"
- Find Vely and tap "Cancel Subscription"
